I love this new trailer for Darkest Hour it gives a great impression of the scale of it along with a cool tune I believe from Tyler Bates (Watchmen Score) against it’s visuals…it stars Olivia Thirlby (The Wackness, Juno, Dredd), Emile Hirsch (Into The Wild, Milk), Max Minghella (Social Network), Joel Kinnaman (Dragon Tattoo, The Killing, Arthur And Lancelot, Snabba Cash) and Rachael Taylor.

Monster’s Patty Jenkins has been announced as the director of Thor 2 which is being released on November 15th 2013. So I’ve come up with a list of actors and characters I’d like to see in the sequel. There was talk of Thor literally visiting other worlds, I assume that includes the other nine realms. It was also mentioned that the cast of Asgardians would double in the second installment.

Balder The Brave - Joel Kinnaman (The Killing, Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Snabba Cash 1-3, Safe House), Brunnhilde The Valkeryie - Rachael Taylor (Transformers, Darkest Hour), Karnilla The Norn Queen - Mélanie Laurent (Inglourious Basterds, Beginners), Amora The Enchantress - Charlize Theron (Prometheus, Snow White & The Huntsman), Lorelei - Ruth Wilson (Luther, Jane Eyre, The Prisoner), Wanda The Scarlet Witch - Felicity Jones (Like Crazy, Tempest), Hela Goddess of Death - Eva Green (Casino Royale, Camelot, Kingdom of Heaven) and Malekith The Accursed - Benedict Cumberbatch (War Horse, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Sherlock Holmes, Hobbit).

I threw in Scarlet Witch since Jon Favreau was originally going to cast Scarlett Johansson in the role for Iron Man 2 before she ended up playing Black Widow. That means Marvel likely still owns the character not Fox. Considering she is better known for her role in the Avengers joining the team in 1965. Making her an Asgardian makes more sense than having her a mutant or human since her powers are magical based similar to Loki and Amora.
