Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been confirmed for Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained along with his role in the film. Deadline reveals that he’ll play the brother of Anthony LaPaglia (The Client, Summer of Sam, Empire Records) in film. LaPaglia will play the leader of a group slave-trading Australians who kidnap Django (Jamie Foxx) and his wife Broomhilda (Kerry Washington). Selling the pair to Calvin Candie’s (DiCaprio) Candyland. It will be interesting to see Gordon-Levitt adopt an Australian accent along with playing a villain.

So Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in talks to join Quentin Tarantino’s spaghetti western Django Unchained, I’m beyond stoked! The stellar cast already includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Don Johnson, Laura Cayouette, Dennis Christopher, Gerald McRaney, Michael K. Williams, Tom Savini and M.C. Gainey. Django Unchained is aimed for a December 25th 2012.
JGL is currently on a roll with roles in 500 Days of Summer, Inception, Jonathan Levine’s 50/50, Rian Johnson’s Looper, The Dark Knight Rises and Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln.
